Another Study Hall...

Well...two weeks ago, W, T, and M went to Bali to play soccer. Today, T and W are gone again, although M is here. T and W were elected as students who show the most leadership in 9th and 10th grade. So they were financed to attend a leadership conference in South Korea. The class is quiet again because W is the big talker in 10th grade. Now, it's the 8th period, and I'm supposed to have AP European History, but since the only students in that class are T, W, and myself, I have a study hall (just like two weeks ago).
It is called a study hall for one reason, and that reason is shown in the word 'study'. I'm supposed to be studying or doing work, but as usual, I'm lazy. So here I am, typing this post, having nothing better to do. You might think I have no work, but trust me, I do.
I mentioned in my last post that I have a new rival named A. But now, I'm no longer worried about him. Every time I see him before school or during recess or lunch, he's busy doing the homework he hadn't done or studying for a test he hadn't studied for. So I guess he isn't that hardworking at all. He doesn't do homework nor does he study for coming tests, so I'm not worried.
All my posts so far have been about school or work. I guess it is reasonable to conclude that I'm a nerd. Well, the truth is that I kind of like working, but I also love enjoying and relaxing. I'm just worried about my grades. I want to attend a good college, so I'm trying to improve my grades. But I realized last night that I'm missing my teenage years. Soon, I'll have to really work in college and I won't get to enjoy this life. Then, I'll be working and experiencing real stress as an adult. This time in my life is the right time to have fun. Well, thankfully W invited T and I to go to Jakarta (the capital city of Indonesia) next weekend to have fun. I'm really looking forward to it.
Well, the bell is about to ring and I want to go play computer games with some friends. So, good luck in your life and au revoir! By the way, please leave comments as you will. I've only gotten one so far.

Phew...too much homework

Man...today is Saturday and I can't rest! I've got too much homework during weekends. Now, I can only hang out on Friday nights because I have to take the whole Saturday and Sunday to do my homework. Last night, there was an International Barbeque Festival at BAIS. I ate bulgogi (Korean meal) and it was delicious. There was an auction, but I didn't attend it. Instead, I went with T and W to watch James Bond: Casino Royale. The movie ended so late it should be considered a midnight show. Anyway, the movie was ok. It wasn't fantastic but neither was it bad.
After the movie, T and W slept over at my house. The sleepover was W's idea. I don't know why he often wants to sleepover at my house...I mean, my house is so boring. Last night, since there wasn't anything else to do, we just talked for a hour after we got to my house. They then played one computer game and slept at 2 am.
This morning they left at 9.30 am to go to a SeaTribes meeting. It's a reaching-out mission thing that the Bandung International Church (BIC) sponsors every year. They will go to a few islands somewhere in Indonesia during our Spring Break to indirectly spread the Gospel.
Now, I'm busy doing my homework. I got bored, so I started typing this post. Every weekend, teachers give so much homework and/or projects.
Anyway, I gotta get back to work. If not, I won't be able to turn the work in on time...then my grades will drop and I'll really lose the competition.

A Boring Day...

Man...today is one of the most boring days of my life. So boring that I'm typing this (I just posted yesterday). Well, two of the loudest students in my class went to Bali for a soccer tournament (actually it's futsal) this morning. One of the two is W, the other one is M (I haven't introduced him yet). M is a loud person who often compares himself with monkeys. He's wild and adventurous. He isn't like W and T because his grades are lower, so he isn't one of my rivals (By the way, W and T aren't really my "rivals". They're only rivaling with me in grades, but they are actually my friends). Oh, T also went to Bali with them. So, the two smartest students and the two loudest students are gone, that is why today is so boring. Class is definitely more quiet.
I fell asleep in English class today because we were reading Contents of the Dead Man's Pocket. Miss G was reading it, and I don't think she noticed me sleeping (hopefully she didn't). You see, there are big pillows available in her class, so I took one and slept. The story was actually not that boring, but I guess my hunger and boredom resulted in sleepiness.
Today, I found another rival. He is A. He is an Indonesian who has lived outside Indonesia since he was little. I heard that he is very smart. Since he's a new student, he doesn't act or look smart, but I guess that under that disguise lies great intelligence. Man, I hope I can beat him. It would be terrible if I get beaten by another person.
Hmm...I'm now having my AP European History, but my teacher went to Bali because he is the soccer coach. So now I have study hall. I'm supposed to work on my Algebra II homework, but I'm lazy. I guess I have nothing else to say. Anyway, I'm out of words...so, au revoir again (Just for your info, I'm taking French 2 now, so some weird words are probably French).

My Life So Far...

I am a male student at Bandung Alliance International School (BAIS). Hmm...what else is there to say about myself...nothing much actually. Let's just say that I am myself (so far, my life sounds boring but, trust me, it's not at all). So, I have not much to say about myself, but I sure do have a lot to do in this life. First, I am now obsessed about backpacking across Europe. My friend actually came up with the idea. So the plan is that he, another friend of mine, and myself are going to backpack across Europe after we graduate high school. I'm now in the 2nd quarter of my 10th grade, so that will leave me about 2 years and 8 months to prepare for the trip. Man I'm excited! Anyway, enough about the trip...I've got other ambitions too.
The two friends I told you about are crazy people. One name starts with a 'W', and the other a 'T'. They are white americans and are more athletic than me. Now, I said they're crazy because they are super intelligent! The one with a 'T' can procrastinate all he wants and then finish his homework or project the night before it's due. And what's crazy is that he still gets better grades than me. The 'W' is not as fast-working as 'T', but he certainly is just as smart. They even got the same GPA. I've tried hard to beat or at least equal them in my grades, but it just seems impossible (since I've never succeded). I'm taking PE this year and I am bad at the fitness testing, so my grades got lowered because of the 'B' I got for PE. Because of that, my GPA is 0.1 lower than theirs. Man...how I wish I can beat them. But don't worry, I ain't gonna give up.
Hmm...what else is happening in my life...ow, today I quit the volleyball team. Well, it shouldn't even be considered a team. It's an intramural thing and I was expecting many high schoolers to join, but instead, all these middle schoolers joined (BAIS is preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school all joined together. We only have about 200 students all-together, so there aren't many high schoolers). I went to one practice and didn't think of it as fun. Since the little kids didn't know how to play, the scrimmage wasn't even fun. One person serves and no one can hit the ball back. So it's not serious at all, but it's for teaching middle school kids who don't know how to play. Anyway, that's not the real reason that I quit. Well, the reasons are that I have no friends in the "team" and that the team has practices or games on Fridays. I would rather go home or play with my friends on Fridays. So instead, I signed up for the intramural badminton program. So far, I know that middle schoolers practice on Mondays and that high schoolers practice on Wednesdays. There are no practices on Fridays, and I have some friends who are joining too. So, I guess I'm excited, though I like volleyball over badminton, but at least I can actually play with good people, many who are better than me.
So, are you sick of reading my story?? Well, I think I'm finished for now. And If you think you've got better stories, leave your blog address as a comment and I'll read it...maybe I'll even leave comments. Anyway, au revoir for now.
